In any conversation setting, the app will record the speaker’s verbal words and convert them into text, which the user can read on their phone screen and understand the speaker’s words. The user, in turn, can type down what they wish to say, and the typed words are converted into verbal speech, which the speaker will hear and understand. This can be done back and forth in real-time to make actual conversation possible, either in one-on-one or group settings.
Bridg’d has many features to enhance the user’s experience, such as pre-recorded messages, quick replies, and saving conversations for later reading.
Bridg’d has a great variety of beneficial applications in situations that require communication—for example, making doctor’s office appointments, participating in academics and study groups, or communicating with family members and friends. Bridg’d users can also use the app to communicate with police officers and first responders, place an order in a restaurant, or even say “excuse me” to someone standing in front of them in a grocery store."
